Interfaces
An interface can be:
- A point of connection between CCI partners
- An area which requires over-arching coordination across the CCI, such as research strategy or data infrastructure
Criteria and targets
Interface platform
- An Interface-Working Group (IF-WG) is established
- Representatives of all participating entities of a CCI and all themes should be represented in the IF-WG
Data infrastructure
- There is a common data infrastructure in the CCI
- Data infrastructure refers to the various components including hardware, software, networks, services, policies, etc. that enable the use, storage and sharing of data within a CCI
Research strategy
- The CCI has an overall research strategy
- The research strategy of the CCI is agreed on in the IF-WG
- It includes all relevant research strategy topics and is reviewed and updated with patient advocacy groups
Patient involvement and participation
- The CCI has a strategy for patient involvement and participation
- The strategy for patient involvement and participation is reviewed and updated with patient advocacy groups and includes all relevant topics.
Education and training
- The CCI has an educational and training agenda for its disciplines and professional groups
- This agenda is developed with national/regional programmes
- The programme of seminars, lectures involves conferences with international representation of clinicians and researchers
Quality management
- There is a contact point and a working group for quality management within the CCI
- The QM systems for all areas and processes within the CCI are harmonised and mapped
- The QM contact point supports CCI members in the implementation of the QM system through internal audits or training
Stakeholder engagement
- Stakeholders can include political representatives, health economists, legal experts, and public health institutes
- The CCI promotes the inclusion of outcome research in the National Cancer Plan (NCP)
- The NCP defines resources for outcome research and states how the results will be used for further NCP development
