This course, developed by CCI4EU (Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures for the European Union), is the third in a series of ten online training sessions organized within this European project. CCI4EU’s mission is to assist EU Member States and Associated Countries in enhancing or establishing their Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures (CCIs), with a focus on advancing their research and innovation capacities.
The topic of this course is “Molecular diagnostics and precision medicine,” and includes sessions on opportunistic genetic screening for breast cancer predisposition, good examples of using molecular diagnostics approaches, molecular tumour boards, financial issues in precision medicine, the importance of patient advocates, and clinical trials.
